CIHR funds aboriginal health research projects


The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is investing more than $30 million in collaborative health research projects between researchers and health stakeholders and partners in aboriginal communities. Pathways to Health Equity for Aboriginal Peoples receives $25 million over 10 years to target four critical health inequities: suicide, tuberculosis, obesity and oral health. In addiction, six Aboriginal Health Intervention Grants will receive $5.3 million from CIHR and $1.2 million from Health Canada's First Nations and Inuit Health Branch....
