Companies joins forces to combat cyber crime

Several high tech firms are collaborating with the federal government and Concordia Univ to establish an alliance to identify and combat cyber threats. In an unprecedented move, Bell Canada, Rogers Communications, Microsoft Canada Co and the Competition Bureau of Canada are banding together to create National Cyber Forensics Training Alliance Canada, a neutral research venue to be hosted by Concordia. The companies will combine resources, intelligence, expertise and R&D to work on promoting information security, investigating mutually defined cyber crime targets, developing processes to protect organizations and individuals, conducting focused R&D initiatives and developing and sharing tools to aid cyber crime investigations....
