David Koa has been appointed senior director of the new partnerships and strategic alliances division at the Ontario Research and Innovation Optical Network (ORION), the province's high-speed research and education network. Koa comes to ORION from the private sector where he has held senior positions with a number of new media and technology services companies including Alberta-based Axia NetMedia and e-Route Inc.
