Dr Jose Cid has been appointed R&D manager for JER Envirotech International Corp, a Delta BC-based developer and manufacturer of wood-plastic composites. Cid comes to JER from Petrobras SA, Rio de Janeiro, where he held several positions over a 20-year career. He holds a BEng in mechanical engineering and an MSc in polymer S&T from Rio de Janeiro Univ. Cid will work with customers to modify formulations of JER’s injection moulding applications made from recycled wood sawdust, poly-propylene and rice hulls. The firm’s formulations were develop
