DynaMotive Energy Systems Corp is accelerating developing of its pyrolysis (BioOil) production plants with the objective of adopting a modular design for boosting plant capacity. The new plant design will allow the conversion of 100 tonnes per day of biomass to energy for use in power plants geared for alternative fuel sources. The Vancouver-based firm is negotiating with Orenda Aerospace (a subsidiary of Magellan Aerospace of Canada) and UK-based Border Biofuels Ltd to demonstrate its new plant design, which represents a 400% increase in capacity from its original design.
