EMS awarded contract by Canadian Space Agency

Atlanta GA-based EMS Technologies Inc has received a $3.5-million contract with the Canadian Space Agency to conduct a stratospheric wind interferometer project at its space and technology division in Montreal. The contract covers Phase B activities for the stratospheric wind interferometer for transport studies (SWIFT) project to measure wind profiles in the stratosphere and provide profiles of ozone density — the first time this has been attempted.
