How a team of researchers developed technologies to help revitalize Indigenous languages

Budget 2017 funded language revitalization technologies for over 25 Indigenous languages. Researchers have used the funding to develop unique tools for teaching Indigenous languages that diverge greatly from the structure of English and French — but they are now preparing to release the software as open-source if funding for the project ends in 2022.
