The Marine Environmental Observation Prediction and Response (MEOPAR) network has received $1 million from Irving Shipbuilding Inc in support of nine ocean research projects aimed at strengthening Canada's ability to anticipate and respond to marine risk. MEOPAR is contributing $800,000 to the projects and has secured an additional $2 million from contributing partners.
