Kaiser Foundation donates $4 million to UBC faculty

The Univ of British Columbia’s faculty of applied science has received a $4-million donation from the Kaiser Foundation for Higher Education, the largest private sector donation in the faculty’s history. The money will go towards the development of a new electrical and computer engineering building, which has also received funding from the provincial government. The gift was made by Fred Kaiser, a member of the faculty’s advisory council and chairman and CEO of Alpha Technologies Inc, a major power engineering and manufacturing firm serving the communications sector....
