Rotman School presents inaugural awards

Two leading institutions and a financing pioneer were the first recipients of awards presented by the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) at the Univ of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. The Labour Award was made to the Univ of Waterloo's Engineering and Co-op program while the Ideas Award went to the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research. The Capital Award was won by Craig Farris, a pioneer in Canada's venture capital industry through the founding of Brown, Farris & Jefferson Ltd (1968) and Ventures West (1973). The CDL's aim is to accelerate "massively scalable technology-based ventures" with milestone-based coaching to derive maximum equity creation....
