Canadian Space Agency (CSA) president Dr Steve MacLean met with his international counterparts to review cooperation on the International Space Station (ISS) project, slated for completion in 2011. The March 11 meeting in Tokyo between Canada, Japan, Russia, Europe and the United States focused on the opportunities to drive advanced S&T and the prospect of integrated international operations and research. The ISS has capacity for a fulltime crew of six. The current planning horizon to 2015 is being extended to 2020 with the potential to extend until 2028. A US administration Budget request would commit that nation to support the ISS through to 2020….
